Teachers want to have a voice, be supported by their administrators, and feel appreciated. To truly achieve this, you must approach teacher appreciation from multiple angles. During my years as a campus administrator, I did just that. The teacher appreciation processes, plans, and procedures I created and put in place not only made my teachers want to remain with me, but it made my campus highly sought after by other teachers.
Genuine teacher appreciation extends well beyond the occasional jean days. It necessitates a holistic approach that fosters a lasting sense of value and fulfillment. During my interactive and engaging workshops, I model and share strategies while guiding campus administrators in developing their own personalized teacher appreciation and retention plans.
Add up ARDs, 504s, state assessments, department meetings, staff development trainings, parent emails and conferences, and grading guidelines, and the sum total is that teachers are constantly being pulled in 20 different directions. On top of that, as much as administrators want to show appreciation to teachers, our hands are tied by financial guidelines and budgets. See how I make my teachers feel valued and appreciated through a variety of strategies that let my teachers know they are the best! Participants will leave with ideas to quickly and easily implement for little or no cost.
