Kathleen Eckert, author of School Transformation Through Teacher Appreciation, knows teachers are vital to the success of any school. As a building principal, Kathleen makes teacher appreciation one of her top priorities. Under Kathleen’s leadership Hillwood Middle School was named a Texas and National School to Watch, School Transforming Learning from N2Learning, Best Middle School from US News & World Report, and received the first Texas Whole Child Award from ASCD. Kathleen herself was a finalist for the H-E-B Excellence in Education Principal Award and was invited to participate in the School to Watch Leadership trip to China.
Kathleen is excited to be returning to the role of principal at Central High School in Keller ISD for the 2024-2025 school year. She is passionate about inspiring and assisting school administrators in recognizing the value of their teachers while providing unwavering support and appreciation. Kathleen's expertise encompasses a wide range of ideas and strategies, ensuring that she has something valuable to offer to administrators of all backgrounds and needs.
